Louisiana State Police report that an accident involving one car in Red River Parish took the life of a man from Texas.

Troopers stated that 43-year-old Cary G. Phillips of Rockdale, Texas, was driving north on La. Highway 515 Saturday night when his truck veered off the road and crashed into a ditch, causing it to flip over.

The Times reports Phillips was declared dead at the location.
