One of three survivors of a fatal car collision on US-23 last month that resulted in the death of five people has been released from the hospital. Humphrey Petersen-Jones, 18, of Okemos has been stuck in the hospital since the October 10th accident in Green Oak Township. He was welcomed home with love as neighbors decorated the road and driveway to his house, encouraging him to continue to have heart. He was one of four 2010 Okemos graduates riding in a Toyota Prius that drove through the grass median on the US-23 and collided into a Chevy Blazer. 18-year-old Matt Kolstoe, his girlfriend, 19-year-old Heather Comstock and her longtime friend 18-year-old Sarina Seger all were killed in the car accident. The driver and passenger of the Blazer from Ohio, also passed away in the accident, but their two kids in the backseat lived through the tragic incident. Green Oak Township Police are still working on the case to find out what the source of the accident was.
