Two accidents occurred on Friday in the west side of Coldwater. Everyone involved in the accident was properly buckled and the air bags provided safety which all served to protect the individuals involved. The Branch County Sheriff’s Department reported that 16-year old Amber Wilder of Coldwater was traveling to class at Coldwater High School with two other passengers in the vehicle when she made a turn from River road to head East on U.S. 12 and cut off another car headed westbound driven by a woman, recognized as 56-year old Roxane Lowder.

The accident took place at about 7:45 yesterday morning. Wilder’s car stopped in a front yard on the south side of U.S. 12 while Lowder’s car, which suffered the most damage in the accident, came to a halt in the middle of the road. The three girls and the woman all received medical aide and were released from the Community Health Center of Branch County.
