A Palo Alto man died the morning of December 18th when he lost control and smashed into a sign, a tree, and another vehicle.
Police said the road appeared wet and slick the morning the man in his 20’s apparently lost control near the intersection of Middlefield road and Hawthorne ave.

A Palo Alto man died the morning of December 18th when he lost control and smashed into a sign, a tree, and another vehicle.
Police said the road appeared wet and slick the morning the man in his 20’s apparently lost control near the intersection of Middlefield road and Hawthorne ave.
The man’s car came to rest in a homes front yard. The first officers on the scene observed the man had been seriously injured, there were no passengers in the vehicle. Paramedics then pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Alcohol has not yet been ruled out as a contributing factor to the accident. The man’s identity remains unreleased upon notification of the family.
