Police report that wet road conditions were problematic and caused a four-car accident in Jessamine County Friday morning that shut down the road way for many hours.
Police inform that the driver of a Toyota Camry lost control on Union Mill Road near the intersection of Mackey Pike, and rolled over onto its side. A little after, another car passing was not able to stop soon enough, and struck the other two cars.
“We just ask the motorists to please slow down today, allow a little extra distance between you and the other vehicle,” stated Jessamine County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Oliver. “That will help us out tremendously and hopefully avoid an accident.”
Police said that some people were hurt in the accident, but none were life-threatening. Union Mill Road was opened again late Friday morning.
