A driver lost control and smashed into a garage of a home located in southwest suburban Lemont Thursday morning.

The fire department reports that the driver struck the corner post of the garage located in the 16000-block of New Avenue, ultimately forcing a wall of the garage to fall and tumble on to the top of her car.

The driver was taken out of her car and was not wounded in the incident. No one else was involved in the crash.
